Seraphim is an all-female invitation only vocal ensemble founded and directed by Vetta Wise. The hand-picked singers are experienced performers – as soloists or as members of leading choirs and eminent groups throughout East Anglia. Formed at the start of 2014, Seraphim has developed an outstanding reputation, enjoying four sell-out concerts and performing as part of two local music festivals in their first year.
Seraphim spread their wings in 2015. As well as continuing to explore the glorious acoustics and visual inspiration of the historic churches and building in Suffolk and beyond, the group were invited to perform in Venice, Worcestershire and London, attracting standing ovations and overwhelming audience response. They continued their adventures into 2016 by performing with Norwich Baroque in Norfolk and Suffolk, travelling to Jersey on tour in the autumn and with the creation of their unique biannual musical pilgrimages.
2017 brought a wealth of performances with both local and living composers and two concerts at the splendid St. Paul’s Church, Covent Garden. This year promises to be equally as eventful, starting with a return to Westleton, our fifth musical pilgrimage and a concert as part of the Southwold Arts Festival.
